Birthdays and Bellies

Tuesday, March 30, and my Britain's birthday! It was also my 39 week appointment. I hope its the last, but fear it isnt! The Dr. said he looks great, sounds good, and if he hasn't made up his mind on Monday, we will talk induction. I was hoping she would say, HOLY MOLY LADY, you are dialated to an 8...lets go have a baby! She didn't, but she did comment how swollen my feet were! THANKS DOC, you really know how to make a girl feel good!
On account of her birthday, I wanna share some of the sweet thoughts of my precious 4 year old angel!
*(as she shakes my huge tummy)"BABY...i like you!"
*(referring to Daddy getting mad @ the gps saying "make a u turn...recalculating...make the next legal u turn" and then throwing it on my foot)"Daddies don't hurt Mommies! You better say sorry, or I'll punch you"
*"You're not this baby's Momma, I am! You can be his sister, if you want to!"
*"Actually, I just want to be a Mommy when I grow up!"
*"Daddy, wanna wrestle? I'm gonna kick your a--...wait is that a bad word?" (oooooops)
*"Dad, I PROMISE Brooklyn did it, not me! (looking @me) Did i do it Mommy?"
*"Where do dogs go when they are bad? Oh yeah, the pound! Will I ever be sent to the pound?"
*"Are cookies what you call healthy?"

The boy who cried wolf!!

I have been feeling lately like this baby is coming sooner than expected. I wake up almost every morning at 4 am with contractions, and think "THIS IS THE BIG DAY"! But it NEVER is!?!!  I have also bleached everything in the house about 5 times, organized every drawer, and pack my bag every night before I go to bed. Morning comes, and  the shampoo and tootbrush come out of the bag! One morning it will be time, and I won't believe it! This boy is like his Daddy already....just can't make up his mind! He is growing so much, I think I gain 5 pounds a day! I have already doubled the weight I gained with the girls. GEEEZ...my big son was always a giant compared to other kids in class, I guess that is what I have to look forward to with this guy too! Football scholarship, here we come!!!




38 weeks of baby!

Little Bitty Britty

I decided to throw a last minute party together for Brit's 4th birthday. I am feeling like this baby is coming soon, and I do not want her special day to get overshadowed by the arrival of her baby brother. My parents and best friend were going to be in town for the baby shower, so we had her party the following day at the park. We were joined by our good friends, the Warner's, and had a relaxing day soaking up the Texas sun. We chased ducks, played on the playground, took a walk (in a failed attempt to meet Baby jackson), and had hotdogs and monkey cupcakes!
Britty Boo,
I know Mommy said for the longest time, you were the baby! I am sorry for lying to you....but you will always be my sweet baby girl! You are so funny all of the time. I never know what is going to come out of that pretty mouth of yours! I have always said you are not like Me, or your Daddy, but I think I lied about that too! You are becoming loud, outspoken, and silly like your Mommy. You are also a loner, and compassionate like your Daddy. You have grown so much in the last year. You LOVE to read books to me, make up silly songs, and go to the park. You always play by yourself, but seem to have the best time! I know you are going to be a GREAT big sister, and I am so happy that you already love this baby so much! I will forever remember how you talked to, kissed, and sang to my belly. Your brother already loves you so much! Happy birthday Big Sister!
