Air Show Madness

I have always wanted to see hot air balloons. So when I saw an ad for HotAir Balloon/Air Show, I knew immediately we would be attending. The opening ceremony included sky divers, 100 hot air balloons, and a fly by from military fighter jets! The 30 minute drive was filled with a cazillion questions, all about Hot Air Balloons. I was so excited, that I didn't even mind answering them! We arrived at the airport, set up our blankets, and got our snacks out! We made a trip to the booths while awaiting the fun!! Brooklyn won a blow up dolphin that was bigger than her, and Britty Boo won a poodle. We drove a few remote controlled cars, got ice cream, and visited the ARMY booth. Britain cried when we left, because she said she wanted to join the army! Her Daddy would be so proud!
Finally, a local hero sang the Star Spangled Banner, and the opening ceremony was underway. Excitement was almost as strong as the high speed winds we were having!!! That is when we heard the announcement....sky diving and hot air balloons were canceled due to the wind! I was crushed! We had to settle for looking at airplanes, standing in hot air balloons baskets, and eating FreeBirds burritos. Not quite the evening we hoped for, but still tons of fun! And tons of pics with our hair blowing all over the place. We even had to chase the stroller down several times. Thanks Goodnes the baby was never in it at the time! Fun times!
