HAPPY FATHER'S DAY

We spent Father's Day a little different this year. The girls spent the night with my parents, and it was just the Tony's and myself. We went and worshiped the Lord, and then had a yummy/fun lunch at Joe's crab shak. Hubby and I got Lobster boil for 2, and we were quiet the site! Since neither of us had EVER eaten lobster, we had to google "How to eat Lobster" from our blackberry. It took alot of work, but was a tasty meal to say the least!! We ended our meal by paying our son to eat the "junk" left over out of the lobster. He did it, made $5 bucks, and has been bragging ever since. Is this really something to be bragging about!?!

I spent the day being thankful for the amazing husband and father Tony is. My husband is alot of things, but emotional is definately NOT one of them. However, he cried the first time he heard the girls' heartbeats, met them for the first time, and Tony and Brooklyn's first day of school. I don't see it often, but my heart melts when I see tears in that Man's eyes. It reminds me how much he is devoted to this family, and it makes me ever so grateful that he picked me all those years ago. Today, i feel blessed that God allowed me to share the parenting experience with someone so amazing!!

Dear Brooklyn,
You are such a sweet little girl, that Mommy is so proud of! At the beginning of the year, you knew sounds and letters, and just a short time after, you put it all together!!! You can sound out just about any word in the dictionary, and write me the sweetest letters!
You are so creative, and thoughtful. You pick every flower you see, and present it to me with such pride. You make the BEST pictures ever...such an artist! I am so proud of you, and know that you will continue to amaze me!!

The Easter Blues

I love celebrating the holiday that our Lord Jesus Christ rose from the grave! It such an awesome day, and an amazing reason to celebrate! That is why i feel a tad bit guilty about the sadness of this day for me! I got to spend the weekend with my WONDERFUL family, and it painfully reminded me of how I DO NOT get to see them enough! Living in the "big town" has forced me to see them less frequently than Im used to, and not nearly enough as I'd like! It was the first Easter we have EVER hunted egss in the rain! The kids were wearing their raincoats, and rainboots, and although there were a TON of eggs in the yard they were VERY skeptical of running out into the pouring rain to get them! I cracked up all day at my little Brookie. She, being the kind hearted sweetie she is, WOULD NOT eat the boiled eggs we dyed. She kept them under a pillow so they would hatch. She was convinced she would have a basketful of chicks in a matter of days!

THE BABY

So, i told you all that 'my baby' was 'different". To prove this, she wanted a duck cake for her birthday...to be more specific, a duck cake that is pink with polka dots! After searching the world over, I FOUND IT! Its super cute, and we had-what my six year old calls-the BEST birthday EVER! I really stressed over the thought of 'my baby' turning 3, and feared I might have a nervous breakdown! It seems like yesterday she needed me for EVERYTHING, and today she dressed herself in a church dress and rain boots!

But back to the party....it was an amazing day! My entire family spent the day at the park! What a perfect gift! I watched the man of my dreams fly a kite with his little princess, throw a football to his prodigy, and blow bubbles with the birthday girl! The more I watch him....the more i fall in love!

Meet The Fam

We are a wild, loving, adventurous family of 5!! We just started a brand new chapter of our lives in December, when we moved from small town Oklahoma to what my grandmother calls the "big town". Many things have changed over the last few years, but the love our family has for each other has been the one constant. Tony, THE ROCK, is such a loving, involved father. Any free time he gets, he spends watching his precious children smile.....or challening them to wrestling matches!! He works hard, prays hard, and loves unconditionally. Our son, Tony Jay III, is 11, going on 16. He is testing us, as parents, and we are trying very hard to remain strict, yet loving. He is such an amazing little boy! He has his father's sensitivity, compassion, and ability to melt my heart. He has my outgoing personality, excellent penmanship, and competitive spirit!  Our middle child, Brooklyn Rae, is 6, and a total princess. She has the biggest heart on the planet, will rescue any and all creatures, she even caught a HUMMING BIRD once! Who does that!?! She is stubborn like her Daddy, and spoiled like her Mommy! Britain Logan, THE BABY, just turned 3. I've had such a hard time letting her go, because I know she is my last! I let her get by with things I would NEVER let the other two do! She is not like Tony, or me, or her siblings, she is truly a child of her own! Tony and I always joke that T will be the football player, Brookie, the cheerleader, and Brit will be the goth girl with tattoos and piercings! I shudder at the thought! But will love her all the same! I am blessed to be a full time mommy, so my days consist of cooking, cleaning, laundry, crafts, snacks, and trips to the park! I am the luckiest girl in the world!!!!
